ISO certification
Each production site is ISO certified and has its own quality department.
CTS Corporation has actively been supporting a responsible approach to human health and the environment for many years. Thus, meeting all applicable requirements in this regard is a matter of course.
The certification according to ISO is very important as it pledges compliance with customers’ quality requirements, applicable regulations and environmental objectives; in total the foundation of our company.
ISO certificates
REACH
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is a European Union Commission (EUC) Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006) entered into force on 01 June, 2007 and will be phased in until 2018.
Noliac supports the basic aim of REACH in improving the protection of human health and environment through the better and earlier identification of intrinsic properties of chemical substances. Noliac meets all applicable REACH requirements and is committed to provide our customers with information about substances in its products as required.
Piezoceramic powders
Piezoceramic powders are subject to REACH according to Article 31 and Annex II of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) and Regulation No 1272/2008 (CLP)
Identification of the substance/mixture: Lead zirconate titanate
Other designation of the mixture (trade name): Piezoceramic material, electrotechnical product, lead titanium zirconium oxide, PZT
REACH Registration No.: 01-2119615559-31-0001
Purpose of the use the mixture (preparation) is to be used exclusively for professional purposes in the electrotechnical industry as an intermediate good.
This registration entitles Noliac to manufacture/import this substance or use it in the production of articles.
Piezoceramic components
Noliac piezo components contain more than 0.1% lead zirconate titanate (PZT, CAS no. 12626-81-2), which is listed as a SVHC-substance and on the EU’s candidate list in Annex XIV for REACH.
RoHS
The EC RoHS Recast Directive 2011/65/EU which entered into force on 21/7/2011, with its obligations taking effect from 2/1/2013, restricts the use of the hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Based on information provided by our suppliers, Noliac designates the products listed below as RoHS compliant for orders placed on or after the date of this certificate, and that the product is suitable for use in "finished equipment" as defined in the legislation.
RoHS compliant means that:
- Our suppliers have confirmed the compliance status of the relevant products to us (including those compliant by the use of an exemption)
- We apply rigorous and ongoing processes to confirm and document this information
Confirmation of compliance status by our suppliers is either because the products do not contain any of the restricted substances referred to in Annex II of the RoHS Recast, at concentrations in excess of those permitted under the Directive or because removal of the restricted substances is not technically possible and their existence in the products at levels in excess of these concentrations is allowed as one of the particular exemptions listed in Annex III of the RoHS Recast Directive 2011/65/EU.
Noliac takes all reasonable steps to confirm suppliers' statements regarding the absence of the restricted substances.

ATEX
Noliac Ceramics, Prague is certified according to ATEX (Appareils destinés à être utilisés en ATmosphères EXplosives) allowing the company to manufacture intrinsically safe devices for potentially explosive atmospheres.
Conflict materials
Noliac undertakes due diligence to assure, that metals used in items are not sourced from mines in areas of conflict which are controlled by non- governmental military groups or unlawful military factions.
None of the standard products, parts or assemblies of Noliac contain tin, tungsten, tantalum or gold.
Piezoceramic parts contain Nb2O5 from columbite-tantalite. The country of origin is the European Union.
Soldering materials may contain tin.
