Change of Noliac's standard range

Noliac has qualified a new piezoceramic material for the standard range of soft-doped multilayer actuators, single and stacked. The new ceramic material, NCE51, offers higher blocking force and equivalent stroke and capacitance, enabling an easy replacement within applications.

As of June 1st 2012

The piezoceramic material NCE51 makes a perfect substitute for the soft-doped materials NCE57 and NCE59 previously used. The new material offers benefits in terms of blocking force and lifetime. A variant of NCE51 is NCE51F, which generally will be used in Noliac’s standard range for multilayer actuators ≥150V.

The change of material for benders will follow in due time.

The change of material for CMAP, CMAR, SCMAP and SCMAR will go into effect as of June 1st 2012.

NACVXYZ

The terms CMAP, CMAR, SCMAP and SCMAR will no longer be used for standard components.

The new standard components are named "NAC" for Noliac ACtuators, followed by "VXYZ":
V = unique internal numbering for each product type
X = main actuator family. 0 = plate and 1 = ring.
YZ = minor variants

PLEASE NOTE that we can still produce the components in the "old" materials. It will just be as custom solutions with a minimum order quantity and not as standard components, when stock has been emptied.
