Our customers

Our customers are engineers, researchers, universities and anyone who are involved in nano and micro positioning all over the world. We have customers in all continents, but our primary customer base is in North America, Europe and Asia.

An increasing number of our customers experience the benefits of our products made exactly according to their requirements. This saves overall system costs or enables more compact solutions. When customers have understood the benefits with Noliac products, they hardly ever change to another supplier. Therefore, our customer base is rapidly increasing. Read some of our customers' statements below.

31-01-2012 High speed nano positioning systems
At the University of Nevada, Associate Professor Kam K. Leang is designing high speed nano positioning systems for research purposes with Noliac actuators. Kam's nanopositioners have ranges up to 60 micrometers and dominant mechanical resonances as high as 130 kHz.
27-04-2011 Self moving stick slip
At the conference PIEZO2011, Associate Professor Yves Bernard of Université Paris-Sud presented the design and modeling of a self moving stick slip which involved piezo actuators from Noliac.
11-11-2010 Reduce body fat with ultrasound
UltraShape is a leading edge company using ultrasound waves to selectively break down fat cells without affecting neighbouring structures. The ultrasound waves are made with hemispheric ceramics, and the solution is developed by plastic surgeons and scientists for the medical community and based on a technological breakthrough.
13-09-2010 Multilayer actuators for adaptive optics
A giant telescope design is being developed by the European Southern Observatory and will in future revolutionise our understanding of the universe and its origins. Noliac bending actuator rings have the potential to provide solutions to control essential mirror deformations and are used in a UK Astronomy Technology Centre's (UKATC) proof of concept deformable mirror.
08-12-2009 Optimize prestress by voltage measurement
Clear information about assembly of power transducers helped Toscano Línea Electrónica S.L., Spain, using voltage-sensing prestress when assembling ceramics. Based on the efficient support from Noliac Ceramics, Mr. Antonio Sánchez Martínez of Toscano has confidence to work even more closely with Noliac in future.
09-09-2009 10 years of fruitful cooperation
nPoint and Noliac Motion have cooperated for almost 10 years within the field of nanopositioning and motion control. nPoint specializes in piezo actuator driven flexure stages available in one, two or three axes of motion. Noliac Motion has provided nPoint with high quality actuators, always in a timely manner.
23-07-2009 Miniature multilayer Rosen transformer
Fruitful partnership between Noliac Motion and the LAPLACE Laboratory in France has resulted in a very small piezoelectric multilayer Rosen transformer of 12.6 mm x 1.5 mm x 0.5 mm granting a conversion ratio of 40 and Lambda mode at 235kHz.
21-01-2009 Piezoceramics in cyclist power meter
Brim Brothers in Ireland is developing the next generation of cyclist power meter that has all the benefits of the existing devices but none of the drawbacks. To Brim Brothers' satisfaction, Noliac Ceramics has provided piezoceramic components for development of the power meter.
10-11-2008 Ideal actuators in custom designs
- For research and development projects, Noliac piezo actuators are ideal as they come in a wide range of geometries, and the quality control ensures that they correspond to specifications, states Doctor Andrew Fleming from the Centre for Complex Dynamic Systems and Control at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
06-11-2008 Eight times force in new piezo bender
Pioneering Noliac Motion has developed a 21 mm x 7 mm x 2.5 mm piezo bender with a blocking force of 8.5 N, which is eight times higher than competing piezo benders, and still with reasonable high displacement of +/- 62 µm. The bender is a revolutionary invention developed according to customer requirements in just five weeks.
