Noliac participates at DIBS 17
Nanopositioning and actuation in extreme environment
At the poster session at DIBS 17, Noliac will present the poster entitled “Nanopositioning and Actuation in Extreme Environment using Piezoelectric Multilayer Actuators and Motors”. Charles Mangeot, Senior R&D Engineer at Noliac A/S, explains:
- Piezoelectric actuators and motors have been demonstrated in extreme environment relevant for Science applications. They provide outstanding performance from 1.8K to 200°C, submitted to radiations, in UHV and under high magnetic fields. Fast, short-range movements in the micrometer range using an actuator as well as precise, continuous motion using a motor are possible. The technology enables higher performance, more compact and reliable applications.

An interesting forum for Noliac
The purpose of DIBS is to promote capacity building, knowledge sharing, relations and other forms of cooperation between academia and industry and between scientists from different fields. Cedric Goueffon, Global Sales Manager at Noliac A/S, emphasises this as the reason for Noliac to participate:
- Noliac has many customers working with Big Science facilities. Therefore, DIBS 17 is an interesting forum for us to participate in with a good mix of sessions, posters and company presentations. We look forward to presenting our poster and piezo actuator products, and to networking with researchers, members of the academic world and other companies working in this exciting field.
